Will Gutter Covers Increase My Home Value?

Yes, they will. They also make your gutter system maintenance-free or low maintenance. More importantly, though, they increase the value of your home by protecting your roof, foundation, basement, crawl space, and more.

How Do I Know If My Gutter Covers Are Working?

There is no need to get on a ladder and check. If water is not running over or behind your gutters, then the system should be working correctly.

How Much Do Gutter Covers Cost Per Foot?

A DIY gutter cover project can cost as little as $1.50/ linear foot for the cheapest perforated plastic. If you purchase from a contractor such as a roofer who offers gutter covers as an add-on, you may see a basic product as low as $8 / linear foot installed. We offer you multiple professional grade gutter covers that typically range from $8 – $30 / linear foot installed and warrantied. Prices vary per project as we do not simply price by linear foot. We figure out the cost of the project and price it appropriately. If your job is more straightforward and requires fewer installers, you aren’t paying the same as someone who has a more complicated project and needs more installers. Why pay more because someone else’s project is harder?

Does Water Run Over Solid Gutter Covers?

No. Surface tension allows the water to slide across the top of the gutter cover, following the curve into the gutter channel. Meanwhile, debris like leaves and twigs will fall harmlessly to the ground. The design of solid gutter covers reduces the need for frequent cleaning. There are some homes for which a solid cover may not be the best solution. For example, solid gutter covers perform poorly with metal, slate, and cedar shake roofs.

Do Our Screen Gutter Covers Clog?

In some circumstances but rarely. This is why we offer multiple products. We will recommend a product that will not clog based upon your unique home and surrounding trees. We will be up front and honest about how your gutter covers will perform and what, if any, maintenance will be required.

Do Gutter Covers Cause Ice Dams?

Our gutter covers do not cause ice dams. Ice damming occurs when snow on your roof begins to melt due to the temperature inside your home. As the water moves down towards the eaves, it refreezes, forming a dam. If ice damming is an issue for your home, we offer gutter cover options that use a heating element to prevent them from forming.

How Long Does Gutter Cover Installation Take?

At Gutter Covers of Indiana, we try to provide you with an honest and accurate timeline. Installation time can vary based on size, complexity, amount of debris in the gutters, unforeseen repairs, weather, and more. Once the product is selected, we will create a project timeline. If it’s delayed, you can count on us to keep you updated.

When Will You Start My Project?

We typically start every project in the order in which it was received. We schedule your project with the mutual understanding that dates may change, possibly even at the last minute, due to weather or unexpected circumstances. Unless we’ve informed you otherwise, your gutter technician(s) will arrive between 9-11 am on each project day. If you give us your permission, we may stay past 5:00 to complete a project.

What if There’s a Problem With My Project?

Call us right away. If we’ve made a mistake on your project or caused any problem, we graciously ask that you allow us to solve it as quickly as possible.

What if My Project Unexpectedly Requires Work Not in My Quote?

We will inform you immediately if we notice any damage to your home. If the damage affects the gutter system, we will offer to repair the issues or advise you to have the damages repaired before we can complete the installation. We may proceed if our installation does not affect someone’s ability to repair the damages.
